Dr. Stack is an associate professor at The University of British Columbia, in the department of Educational Studies, and a member of the DISE Collective.
Last year she was the recipient of the Public engagement Award for her research on the ways in which university rankings reinforce inequities and narrow definitions of what “counts” as scholarly work in academia. Her most recent publications include the book Global University Ranking and the Mediatization of Higher Education, editor of Global University Rankings and the Politics of Education, and co-editor of the book Course Syllabi in Faculties of Education Bodies of Knowledge and their Discontents, International and Comparative Perspectives.
